Underwire or No Underwire: Best First Bra for Men?

“It’ the first time I am buying a bra for men”. Should I get the underwire or no underwire male bra? 

  Welcome to my men’s lingerie shop and the blog. One of the most common questions I get about the bras for men is which type of a bra is better for the first time purchase. Here are a few tips to consider before buying your first AA cup bra, either you have some crossdressing experience or all you love is simply feminine lingerie.

1.      Think what you expect out of the bra. Is it support for your body shape and breast tissue or just because you think you would love to experience the softness of pretty lingerie on your body? 

Both underwire AA cup bras and no-underwire ones will fit great on flat and almost flat chest. If you developed serious breast tissue and need actual support for comfort, try the underwire bras HERE. You will not only get the visual aspect, but also a real benefit!

2.      Do you intend to show off your bra under the shirt or would you like to keep it a secret?

If you are looking to totally hide the fact that you are wearing a bra, I would suggest the special cut and fit of the wireless bras like this (longer in shape, offer slight compression without the underwire). They are perfect for everyday wear without showing through the work attire.

3.      Do you crave the awareness of wearing a bra?

Some men love the compressing feeling the underwire bra offers. The gentle squeeze and an awareness that the bra under clothing is what they look for. If this is what you want, opt for the underwire bra. It also creates a more defined round cups shape on a chest, as the underwire holds the fabric in a perfect round position. 

  If you don’t care about the feeling and the round shape, but still want the pretty bra on your body, the no-underwire option could be your choice. The construction of my no-underwire bras is the same as in the underwire bras, but the underwire is simply not added. This causes the shape of the cup more of an open circle, without sacrificing the fit or comfort.

4.      Do you want it for daily wear or some occasions or do you want to sleep in your bra?

If you look to sleep in your new bra, non-underwire option would be the most healthy and comfortable one.
